What has been your most extravagant purchase? Definitely a Mulberry Bayswater bag which cost just under Pounds 600. It was extravagant because I gave it to my niece when she emigrated to Canada so she would have something to remember me by, and now I am going to buy another one.

Ever had a fashion disaster? Yes many, but at the time thought I looked really cool. I think the worst outfit I put together was my father's Replica Thomas Wylde thermal long johns and long-sleeved T-shirt (he was around 17 stone and I was around seven stone). I then added a fluorescent hip belt and loads of jewellery - very 80s.
Favourite shop and why? I love Zara, particularly this season because it has a real continental chic and edginess to the collection.
